Nonetheless, the thought of how to preserve it affects or disrupts the decision more often than not. Therefore, the need to learn how to store and or take proper care of it until it is ready to be used, especially if obtained in large quantities

FREEZING: The first and best method to preserve pepper is keeping them in the refrigerator with or without dicing, (you can either keep it as a whole or diced). The dicing is dependent on what you want to use the pepper for in the long run, if you intend to cook the pepper, dicing it is advisable as it will keep it in good shape until you are ready to use it.
It is important to note that you don’t keep fruits and pepper in the same drawer of your refrigerator because fruits release a gas called ethylene, which can cause the vegetable(pepper) to rot faster.
Freezing the pepper can make it last for 2 weeks as long as the light is constant but it could lose its taste like every other food if kept longer than expected. Furthermore, boiling goes hand in hand with this, you can boil the pepper and then refrigerate it.

KEEPING THEM IN PRODUCE BAG: The produce bag has spaces that can allow air into it, place the pepper as a whole inside the produce bag and place it in a place where air can penetrate it. This will help to keep the pepper till when you need it fresh, this should not be left for too long if you don’t want the pepper to dry off before use.

DRYING & GRINDING: Pepper can also be sun-dried or air-dried to preserve its lifespan. This is used to make dry pepper which can be sprinkled and or added to your meal when cooking it, to make it spicy and a little peppery, depending on the type of pepper used. This can be carried out by spreading it out on a tray or sack & placing it in the sun until it is dry, you should be careful not to allow water to touch the pepper once it is dry, once this is done, it could last up to a year and more than as long as it is not exposed to moisture.
